Mental Health Appointments

As most of you know, I’ve not been working in the past 18 months, dealing with severe mental health issues.  This includes severe depression and anxiety and panic, and agoraphobia.  There’s been some suicide ideation in there, too.  That’s one of the reasons I’m working hard on getting fit – not only physical, but emotional and mentally stronger.

So to keep on top of the mental health issues, I have numerous appointments throughout the week with my psychiatrist, social worker, family doctor, or the two support groups I am a part of weekly.

Today was a meeting with my psychiatrist and a support group.  The psychiatrist seemed very happy in my losing weight.  A few adjustments to meds and off I went. The suppor group took 90 minutes, but it was helpful.

I’m in good hands with several mental health professionals – I just need to get more in tune with the physical self.
